Robert (Bob) Samson is Director of Information Protection & Privacy for Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI). MVCI is the recognized worldwide leader in vacation ownership with over 50 resorts. In his role at MVCI, Bob is responsible for information protection and privacy compliance. He also coordinates the development and maintenance of MVCI’s Business Continuity Plan. Bob has worked for MVCI for 14 years and has held various positions in Information Technology and Business Process development. Prior to joining MVCI, Bob worked in the manufacturing industry as a business executive and has experience as corporate officer, divisional vice president, domestic and international sales and operations manager. This experience provided Bob with opportunities to travel extensively through the U.S., Europe and Asia, working with many diverse companies in assisting them with their process re-engineering efforts. He holds a CIPP certification in Privacy, CISA certification, certification in ITIL and an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
