Central Florida Crime Prevention Association presented its first UCF Crime Prevention Scholarship Awards on November 3, 2008 at noon. The location for the awards was held in the Market Place Cafeteria in Ferrell Commons on the UCF campus. "Dream for a Safer Community" winners were:

Jennifer Fillion - 1st place
Victoria Burton - 2nd place
Devin Balkissoon - 3rd place
